I cannot believe tomorrow is August 1st!! Where did summer go? WHERE DID 2018 GO?! The past few months have been filled with long nights, busy weekends, and one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Which is say goodbye to my sister! Yes, the other part of The Sister Narrative. I know we didn’t really do a formal introduction, but I am Angela Kapinos, the older sister, not wiser or smarter though, funnier for sure. Then you have Jessica Kapinos, the younger and smarter sister and one of my very best friends.
I am sitting here trying not to cry as I write this. I have been with my sister for all of her 26 years of life. Neither of us went away to college and when we did move out of our parents house we were always less than 10 minutes away from one another. She has helped me through SO many rough parts of my life. She always knows what to say to me to make me feel better and to make me laugh. She is wise beyond her years and more sarcastic than myself, and that’s saying something!!
She worked so unbelievably hard in school and graduated with a double Bachelors of Science in Psychology AND Medical Laboratory Science PLUS her phlebotomy certificate and with PSI CHI Honors, I’m sure I am messing something up there but the point is she is so freaking smart and when she puts her mind to something she is not going to let anything or anyone stand in her way!
So-all that to say, she was offered a job at THE Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and her and Mihai packed up and drove over 3000 miles away to start a new adventure! I am beyond excited for them but also so very sad that my best friend and only sister is so far away now. I know they are going to have an amazing time and she is doing what she set her mind to. Proud doesn’t even come close to how I feel about her.
I love you Jess and I can’t want to come visit!!
Side note-The Sister Narrative isn’t going anywhere, if anything it will be highlighting even more adventures and content! Visit our site to read about two sisters talking about books, food and make-up over 3000 miles apart!
